How do I get a Florida medical marijuana card?

If you are a Florida resident and have a qualifying medical condition, you’re eligible to apply for a Florida medical marijuana card. You must obtain a medical marijuana recommendation from a registered physician and submit a patient application to the Office of Medical Marijuana Use. The application is available here:

Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive an electronic, temporary card to use while the official card is printed.

What are the qualifying conditions for medical marijuana in Florida?

Patients diagnosed with any of the following conditions are eligible to apply for a FL medical marijuana card:

  • Cáncer
  • Epilepsia
  • Glaucoma
  • VIH
  • SIDA
  • Trastorno de estrés postraumático (TEPT)
  • Esclerosis lateral amiotrófica (ELA)

What is a caregiver?

A caregiver is a person who provides basic assistance to a medical marijuana patient. This often involves helping the patient obtain and administer their medicine, but can involve any number of other activities in which the patient may require some additional support due to their medical condition. Under Florida law, the patient may designate a caregiver who may visit the dispensary and make purchases on the patient’s behalf.

How do I appoint a caregiver?

Patients may designate a caregiver in their patient application. The caregiver must then complete their own application in order to receive a caregiver card. Please note that caregivers must be over the age of 18.

Patients may purchase up to a 70-day supply as determined by their recommending physician.

What medical marijuana products are permitted in Florida?

A variety of products are available to Florida patients including flowers, concentrates, vaporizer cartridges, capsules, tinctures, topicals, and nasal sprays.

How can I find a doctor to approve me for medical marijuana?

Florida’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use provides a list of physicians who are registered to approve patients for the program.

Where does the marijuana come from?

All of our products are made in Florida at our licensed cultivation center. The facility is carefully regulated by the Department of Health and must follow strict guidelines to ensure product safety. Medical marijuana products cannot be acquired from any source other than the licensed and regulated facilities.

Strict rules protect the privacy of these records, including the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996. Your identity and patient status in the medical marijuana program may never be disclosed to anyone without your prior authorization. We take patient privacy very seriously and will gladly answer any questions or concerns you have about this important issue.
