NEW YORK, Dec. 03, 2018 — Columbia Care Inc. (“Columbia Care”), the nation’s leading medical cannabis company, announces the opening of an additional medical cannabis dispensary in Pennsylvania. The new dispensary, located at 765 Kidder Street in Wilkes-Barre, opened today, December 3, 2018. The location is Columbia Care’s second dispensary serving qualifying patients in Pennsylvania, following the Scranton dispensary which opened in April 2018, giving Columbia Care a leadership position in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
“The opening of this new Pennsylvania dispensary underscores Columbia Care’s continued commitment to the Commonwealth and its patients. It highlights the rapid growth we are experiencing across the country as patients and providers nationally adopt our high-quality cannabis-based medicines to address significant unmet medical needs,” said Nicholas Vita, chief executive officer of Columbia Care. “At Columbia Care, we commit ourselves every day to the communities we serve. We are thrilled that we can now improve even more lives throughout Pennsylvania with the opening of our location in Wilkes-Barre. We are thankful for the ongoing support that we have received from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Wilkes-Barre community, and we look forward to serving all stakeholders with the quality of products and service they expect and deserve.”
